We are beginning the 3rd quarter focusing on grammar. We will introduce other topics as the quarter progresses.
GRAMMAR: Is the study of the way words are used to make sentences. Our class will focus on the eight parts of speech.
Noun: A noun is a person, place, thing or idea. We will be learning and dissecting ten different type of nouns.
The 10 noun types we will be interacting with include the following list:
1. Common nouns
2. Proper nouns
3. Material nouns
4. Compound nouns
6. Abstract nouns
7. Concrete nouns
8. Collective nouns
9. Uncountable nouns
10. Counable nouns
COMMON NOUNS are person place thing or ideas.
One day me and my mom went to the movies and we got out and we went to the store.
PROPER NOUNS is when it describes a common noun.
Me and my dad went to go eat at cause we were hungry.
MATERIAL NOUNS is the name of a material that a substance of things are made of.
I was working with the coal to make the fire.
COMPOUND NOUNS: Two nous that are paired together to make a word.
I was playing football yesterday in the back yard and we won.
PRONOUNS:Are words that that take place of a noun or a pronoun.
I was at that place at night and i found 20 dollars on the floor.
ABSTRACT NOUNS:A abstract noun is something you cant touch.
One day i was happy cause my mom told me she loved me.
CONCRETE NOUN:Is something you can touch, see and taste.
I hit the wall cause i was mad and it really hurt.
COLLECTIVE NOUNS: IS a group of things or animals.
One day a group of ants tried to attack me because i kicked their home.
UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS:Are nouns that are always singular.
My mom asked if the milk jar was full and i said yes.
COUNTABLE NOUNS: is when you are counting objects that are the same but you have more than one.
My dad bought me three bags of chips so i can save two of them and eat the other one.
